Lisa Edelstein was an American actress, best known as the actress who starred in Fox's House medical show. After being raised by Jewish conservatives in Wayne, New York City was her destination to study acting at Tisch. She was very active in the nightlife scene in New York City, and did enough to be heard by the media. At the same time she became more conscious of AIDS and its devastating impacts. Then, she combined her fame and talent with her writing and composing skills in the production of a play titled Positive Me. Awake in the Wild Side was her next job. Following the end of the series, she started appearing in television and film productions, at first in small parts, but gradually establishing her acting career.
