Selleck played a major role in a number of TV movies in the new millennium. The most notable of these was the Jesse Stone series in which Selleck played a New England police chief. The role earned Selleck an Emmy nomination and he was the film's executive producer. Selleck portrays a police officer who is part of a multigenerational family. This role was included in Blue Bloods that premiered on CBS in 2010. Selleck eventually made it to the big screen. He appeared in the popular Three Men and a Baby together with Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg, with the comedy becoming the top-grossing feature.
